We are passionate about celebrating the performing arts, and – for over 40 years – have proudly supported a variety of initiatives that nurture young talent and showcase the diverse creativity of our continent. Twenty-three years ago, music producer Peter Tladi found a perfect partner in Standard Bank for his Joy of Jazz festival, which is still a homecoming for some of the biggest stars on the continent, and abroad. We’ve sponsored music festivals in Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Eswatini, Mozambique and Namibia, as well as the Standard Bank Young Artist Awards at the National Arts Festival in South Africa, shining the spotlight on artists at a pivotal moment in their careers.
